What has been your favourite role?
My favourite roll was from a play I did with Ellipsis Tree Collective, Adventures of a Black Girl in Search of God. I played Michael Baldwin and it was the most exciting, scary and fulfilling project I’ve been a part of to date.
What do you do when you are not performing?
When I’m not performing, I’m spending time with my wife and three kids.
I also dance 4 to 5 days a week and I’m also a personal trainer.
What organization / activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?
I have been active in the hip hop community in Calgary since 1995. My break crew “Original Rudes” started in 1998. You can still catch me and some of my crew performing or dancing on stage or at hip hop events.
What Director would you like to work with?
There are so many great directors I would love to work with, but right now I’m really focused on working with my filmmaker friends and other local and Canadian art makers.
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?
Months ago I watched JoJo Rabbit and I’m still thinking about it. I really enjoy Taika Waititi’s style. Looking forward to watching Reservation Dogs.
As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?
The one thing I wish I knew sooner as a performer would be to relax and be myself. You being you is your number one asset. I’m still working on that though. Oh, and take improv classes sooner. Sorry, that’s two things.
