What has been your favourite role?

I don’t know if I have a favourite role. I think they are all special in their own right. I learn so much about the world, people, and myself each time I perform. Although that being said, I am working on my first short film, and I feel that one will be my favourite, at least for a while. There is just something so special about developing a character from your heart. Not that I don’t love all my characters! I do; it’s just a different experience.  Unfortunately, you will have to wait to find out about that one until it is made.

What do you do when you are not performing?

I love hangin’ out with my kids, they make me laugh, and we have a lot of fun. Also, I started painting during the lockdown. That has been a fun way to release my feeling of making things perfect and trusting my instincts. And I love a good fantasy novel; getting away for a bit into my imagination is one of my favourite past times.

What organization/activity are you involved with or passionate about that people would find interesting?

You know, I really enjoy working with other actors, talking about my experience, and helping them with self-tapes. I run the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers actors club. It is so fun to watch people grow and have fun.

What Director would you like to work with?

Taika Waititi, Chloe Zhao, Steven Spielberg, Jodie Foster… Locally, Anna Cooley, Matt Watterworth and Corey Gerard. They inspire me so much! That being said, I always enjoy meeting new directors and working with new people. What can I say? I am an actor through and through; people are my jam.

What is your ultimate best movie and TV show?

HAHAHAHAHAHA. I can’t aim for just one in either form. I can’t even narrow it to a genre for you. If it has a good story, good acting, and makes me feel emotion in any way, I generally like it. That being said, I do have to be in the mood for certain horror flicks or comedies. It is actually easier for me to tell you what I don’t like, haha!

As a Performer, what is one thing you wish you would have known sooner?

One thing?? Haha. One of many would be that you need to trust your instincts, trust yourself, and never stop evolving and learning! Wait, is that two?
